Description In this course, we will review how eye gaze can be a foundational skill for a child with significant motor challenges to engage and participate in all parts of their home and school activities. We will explore computer access, why it matters, and how to develop skills for success. We’ll look at Tobii Dynavox software solutions such as TD Snap’s Boardmaker activities, Sensory Eye FX 2, Communicator 5 Accessible Apps, TD Browse, and custom modes in TD Control software. All these tools can support anyone beginning their eye gaze journey. Learning Objectives: 1. Describe eye gaze access method and its importance for children with complex motor challenges. 2. List two Tobii Dynavox software solutions that scaffold success for children who use eye gaze. 3. List two implementation strategies to increase success with eye gaze for children with complex motor challenges. We look forward to learning with you in our live virtual session.
