Supports for AAC Success: Assessment through Implementation

Description

The journey to assess and encourage daily AAC use is complex, but it doesn’t have to be! Tobii Dynavox has an ecosystem of resources at your fingertips that will help you throughout the AAC assessment process and AAC use in daily life.

In this course, we will explore a collection of tools available to use during the assessment and funding process as well as throughout implementation. We understand that it takes a village to determine the most effective AAC solution and to implement successful use. Explore and learn more about resources and support that are available no matter what stage you are currently at on your AAC journey.

Learning Objectives:

Describe 2 ways to identify someone appropriate for an AAC assessment.

Describe 3 resources available to support conducting an AAC assessment.

Identify 3 resources to support funding an AAC device.

Identify 3 techniques and strategies to support the successful implementation of a communication device.

We look forward to learning with you in our live virtual session. This course provides an opportunity to earn ASHA CEUs and will not be recorded. If you cannot attend, check out our Learning Hub for other learning opportunities.

After registering for this event, you will immediately receive an email from your presenter containing details which include the link to join the training. If you don’t receive the email, please check your spam folder. Please note that courses are listed in Eastern Time (ET) America/New York.

At Tobii Dynavox, we know resources need to be accessible to as many people as possible. Each session at the conference will provide the option to turn on live captioning. Additionally, an American Sign Language interpreter will be spotlighted at each session for those who need interpretation.
